In his latest reflection, the President of Orange1 examines the role of business representation, the value of industry associations and the need to turn companies’ needs into concrete action.

The issue of business representation is at the heart of the new open letter by President Armando Donazzan.

Starting from Orange1 Electric Motors’ decision to leave Confindustria Vicenza, formalised on 18 September 2026, the President develops a broader reflection on what it means to belong to an industry association, on the gap between the concrete needs of manufacturing companies and their representation, and on the value such representation should be able to generate for the companies it represents.

The true distinguishing value of representation lies not only in the services provided, but above all in the ability to build collective strength.

The letter also calls on entrepreneurs themselves to reflect on their relationship with representative organisations and on the need to demand from those who represent them the same level of concreteness and accountability required every day within their own companies.

It is a clear position that does not question the value of representation itself. On the contrary, the President reiterates the need for companies to stand together and speak with one voice, provided that voice is genuinely able to understand, support and defend those who produce.
