Elena Donazzan, the Regional Councillor for Education and Training, recently met with our team, acknowledging the value of our organizational model that combines sports with education.

During the meeting held at Palazzo Balbi—the headquarters of the Veneto Regional Government—Councillor Donazzan praised our innovative approach, highlighting how we attract young talent from all over the world—including Mali, the Congo, and Brazil, as well as from the Veneto region and across Italy. These young athletes are guided through a holistic program that encompasses sports, residential living, and education in state schools.

“Our goal is to nurture sporting talent and provide a quality education, preparing them for a future in the workforce,” stated Donazzan. The project’s success is evidenced by Orange1 Basket Bassano’s recent victory in the national Under-17 championship, where they outperformed established clubs that field senior teams in Serie A. Five of our young talents are members of the national Under-17 team.

Launched over a decade ago with the support of a local entrepreneur, this project continues to grow and gain recognition. “It was an honor to host the team at the headquarters of a Region that has invested heavily in sports, recognizing athletic activity as a fundamental part of a young person’s development,” added Donazzan.

The Councillor also emphasized the importance of having a top-tier team of coaches and educators: “We believe that the sports world requires professionalism and pedagogical quality, especially when working with young people and adolescents.”

Orange1 Holding is proud to support a project that not only develops successful athletes but also prepares young people for a bright and informed future. We will continue to invest in initiatives that combine sports and education, contributing to the growth of our young athletes and the community.

Orange1 Holding is proud to share the success of the social project supported by our group: Orange1 Basket Bassano.
