Orange1 compact asynchronous motors with low center

The Orange1 asynchronous motor range offers special models for very specific industrial applications. This is the case for low center motors: these are induction motors with reduced dimensions that are particularly suitable for installation in limited spaces.

Available in single-phase and three-phase versions, with 2, 4 and 6 poles, Orange1 flat motors are perfect for cutting, drilling, milling and grinding industrial machines, with various customization possibilities according to the customer’s needs.

Our compact motors have all the advantages of induction motors, with the benefit of providing a flat design that is easy to maintain and adapt to the available space. In addition to this, all Orange1 models can be equipped with an inverter drive system or a progressive brake in direct current.

Flat low center motors: details and overview

A low center motor, also known as flat or compact motor, is an induction motor where the height of the axis is shorter than an IEC-certified motor of the same power. The reduced axle height allows for a lowered, more compact design without losing power.

These compact induction motors are well suited for specific industrial equipment, such as machines for cutting wood or marble, where it is necessary to make the most of the cutting discs’ height, in order for the motor to fit in the reduced available space.

The compact size does not affect the performance of the flat motor in any way: low center motors can guarantee high levels of efficiency and torque density.
